Weyman has never, ever, seen anything like it in the wild in Mexico. He has buddies who swear it comes from the road between San Cristobal and Comitan, Chiapas and he has scowered the countryside time and again looking for it, at all times of the year for over 20 years, and never found it! It looks similar in growth habit to the alata group, but with fewer flowers. The plant could be a selligera or cordigera, or any other "gera", but it has yet to be seen by me or Weyman in the wild and I have been there a few times with him looking for it. If you have seen one, let us know and I am sure he is more than willing to take you there as his guest to see it for himself!
